A Little Late to The Party

No, I'm not talking about Kate and Wills party, I already had to turn down that invite as Fridays are hair washing day.

I'm talking mug rugs. There was a little bit of a frenzy happening surrounding mug rugs not too long ago. I drew inspiration from The Mad Quilter and decided to give it a crack. What better time, when mothers day raffles and stores call for donations.

This one, including the mug, chocolates and hot chocolate and latte sachets, is going to Blakes school for the mothers day stall.

I enjoyed this, I had some charm squares left over from another project. Mug rugs are a great way to use up scraps.

This is actually square, believe it or not, it's just my dodgy photography making it look distorted. I'm still unsure if I like the binding....

Anyway, with pre-school needing donations (and I should donate considering I'm the P&F president, haha) I will be knocking out a few more of these.

  1. bahaha, you got me thinking it would be a royal wedding post! Bummer about it being hairwashing night, I bet you were devastated to miss out;)
On a serious note, loving the Mug Rug! What a great way to use up all those little bits of fabric I haven't been able to part with.
