Camping Cheer

In the second week of school holidays we went camping with another family. It was nice to spend quality time as a family for a WHOLE WEEK! Because my husband works very hard (bless him) long hours and shift work to boot, we don't often get too much time together as a famlily. We manage weekenders camping, but seldom get more than 3 days.

So we went down to Upper Colo Reserve. It would have to be one of the most beautiful places in NSW

All 6 kids (my baby is missing from this photo, he was in bed at this stage) loved the fire, lots of flaming marhmallows.
The campoven was constantly in use, we ate like kings
Lots of fun in the crystal clear (freshwater) river, the dogs coat has never been cleaner.

And Bushwalking
We had warm showers under the blue sky. With no power and very limited amenities, we absolutely adore this kind of camping. We take the dog, the pushbikes and loads of beer cheer.

  2. This is how we camp. Adore this post. It is, for me, the true blissed out relaxedness of camping that makes me really appreciate my family.
